Mortuary coffee table
This piece of furniture goes well with the Dining Room Gurney. I had actually read of people using these as coffee tables before and was impressed by the result.
You can find these on ebay fairly easily; the more elaborate older ones are often too expensive for use as a coffee table (depending on your budget of course).

Open the cart completely, measure the width and depth, and purchase a sheet of at least 1/4" tempered glass that is a little larger on both sides. Rounded corners are a good idea. This isn't suitable for holding your 1920s Underwood typewriter, but it's great for a coffee table replacement. Excellent conversation piece.
